Meaghan King earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where she majored in Organ Performance with minors in Choral Conducting, Sacred Music, and Music Theory. Prior to USC, Meaghan completed her M.Mus, doubling in Sacred Music and Organ Performance, at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ and her B.A. in Music at Ave Maria University in Naples, FL. Her previous, concurrent positions in Los Angeles were as Associate Organist at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, Organist at the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter parish in Los Angeles, and Assisting Organist at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.
As an organist, Dr. King maintains an active performance career, playing concerts both at St. John's and at venues across the country. She serves as the Dean of the Corpus Christi Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and as a member of the AGO National Committee for Pipe Organ Encounters, week-long summer camps for high schoolers interested in the organ.
