The Veneration of First Class Relics
First class relics indicate that these are part of the physical remains of the actual body of the saint. These relics are certified by Church officials and have documentation to show their authenticity. The relics belong to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and are kept safe until used for public veneration of the faithful. Since they belong to our parish church, it is our solemn responsibility to treat these relics with utmost care, reverence and profound respect. Public veneration of the faithful is encouraged by the Church without confusing veneration with the worship of God.
These relics are of well known saints of the Church and often come from closed monasteries or churches where they were held in safety and veneration for centuries. The list the relics of the saints are listed in the menu bar in this page.
